The best marketing strategy is video

If you go by train, bus or any form of public transport you will see the majority of people with their heads down engrossed in what they are interacting with on their phone. A lot of the time this is video content. Even people walking down the street are face down in their device which often results in them walking face-first into me. Either way mobile content is definitely king and video content its queen. We did some research to dig up some mint stats all about it:

Web Traffic

  • By 2022, online videos will make up more than 82% of all consumer Internet traffic.

  • YouTube is the second most trafficked site, after Google.

  • YouTube users upload more than 500 hours of new video a minute.

  • Meanwhile, 1 billion hours of YouTube videos are watched daily.

  • According to Google, YouTube reaches more 18- to 49-year olds in an average week than all cable TV networks combined.

  • 78% of people watch online videos every week, and 55% view online videos every day.

  • 81% of businesses use video in their marketing strategy, a 63% increase since last year.

  • Users spend 88% more time on websites that have videos.

  • According to YouTube, more than 70% of all YouTube video consumption is via mobile devices.

  • Broadbandsearch says users spend 40 minutes a day, on average, watching YouTube on mobile devices.

  • Wyzowl says 90% of consumers watch videos on their mobile devices.

  • And 93% of Twitter video views happen on mobile.

  • Animoto‘s Social Video Forecast also suggests that 91% of marketers are satisfied with the ROI of video marketing on social media.

  • More than 55% of shoppers use online video while actually shopping in a store, says Google.

There is a lot of research out there suggesting that video content is not only here to stay but will be increasing.

 The trick, as always is standing out from the noise.
